Accountability
Corrections Policy
Readers can report a possible factual error by email. Reports should include the page URL, the passage in question, and any supporting source that may help evaluate the issue.

Corrections
A confirmed material error should be corrected in the article and accompanied by a dated note that explains the substantive change. A correction should not quietly alter the meaning of a published claim.
Clarifications and updates
A clarification improves precision without reversing the original factual meaning. An update reflects genuinely new information. Routine spelling or formatting fixes may be made without a correction note.
